Besides road and rail transport phase of the container and cargo transportation, port terminal and yard storage represents another critical phase that requires special security management. However, the visibility obtained in providing adequate security has the potential to yield the benefits of more efficient transportation management and lower the costs of the overall supply chain.
The following pictorial representation of the AVANTE ZONER™-RELAYER™ integrated active RFID security and visibility solution incorporating real-time locating system for the yard management at sea port or terminal or offsite temporary storage. The patent-allowed technology provides the real-time reporting capability for both movement of containers, intrusion and other exceptions, besides the traditional RTLS for efficiency.
AVANTE container security management system also includes the monitoring of intrusion and security of containers in storage yards and warehouse. A RELAYER™ monitor grid is configured to form an RF Network installed around the yard to communicate with the RELAYER™ readers on the containers. The RELAYER™ reader continually monitors the signal strength and communicates with ZONER™ tags inside each container. Tampering or exceptions are reported in real-time to destination custom authorities and others in the need-to-know. Detailed data is also stored with a designated "Public Independent Monitoring Agency" (PIMA).
