In the case of larger assets such as containers, trailers, and trains, visibility may be required in real-time. One of the most common applications of real-time locating systems is the trailer and container yard management. The movements of assets in and out of the yard or controlled area are still controlled using gate access management. The visibility of the locations of containers or trailers within the storage yard is critical for the asset utilization.
